　　let me briefly state that my thoughts are with you and your sorrow about the passing away of Prof. YE.

　　I recall how you, Guoxiong, told me about your old teacher and for some time also dear neighbour.

　　I also think to remember that Prof. YE was a student of Carl-Gustav ROSSBY's, who himself presided IAMAP back in the 1950s.

　　So it is a true family story in a wider sense.
