AOSL出版“基于CMIP6试验的气候变化评估、归因和预估”专辑文章

  世界气候研究计划(WCRP)耦合模式工作委员会(WGCM)从1995年起开始发起国际耦合模式比较计划(CMIP),该计划主要是协调各国气候模式研制团队开展统一的气候数值模拟试验。通过这些试验,可以更好地了解过去和现在气候变率和气候变化的机理并预估未来可能的气候变化,这在联合国政府间气候变化专门委员会(IPCC)组织撰写的一系列气候变化评估报告中发挥了重要作用。在过去20多年里WGCM已经组织了多次CMIP模拟比较试验,目前正在进行第六阶段的数值模拟试验(CMIP6)。CMIP6旨在帮助学术界更加全面地评估气候模式能力、理解气候变化机和预估气候变化,并为正在进行的第六次IPCC评估报告(AR6)提供数值模拟支撑。

  大气所主办英文期刊Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Letters组织了“Evaluation, Attribution and Projection of Climate Change based on CMIP6”专辑,报道基于CMIP6试验的气候变化评估、归因和预估等内容。专辑由期刊编委俞永强研究员领衔组织,已出版两篇数据论文和七篇原创研究论文(https://www.tandfonline.com/toc/taos20/13/6),其中数据论文分别为CAS FGOALS-f3 参与CMIP6 DECK试验数据和高分辨率模式比较计划 (HighResMIP)数据集介绍;原创研究论文涉及模式对海洋气候、季风气候、极端温度和极端降水等方面的模拟性能评估和比较。
