　　报告人简介：

　　Prof. Clive Saunders has been engaged in research on many aspects of cloud microphysics and atmospheric electricity. He has been leading in the design and build of a laboratory cold cloud-chamber for study of cloud microphysics and atmospheric electricity, in order to find the main electrification mechanism inside thunderstorms. His elaborating experiments based on this smart cloud-chamber have led to over 160 publications and formed non-induction electrification parameterizations which have been used widely.

　　Prof. Saunders will give a series of three lectures in Beijing. The lectures will cover all aspects of thundercloud electrification and related microphysics, particularly in the cloud-chamber laboratory of the University of Manchester.
