报告摘要:
Recent field measurements show that organic carbon (OC) was one of the major components during haze events in China with contributions ranging from 35% to 80%. It has been suggested that secondary organic aerosol (SOA) could account for a significant fraction of the total observed OC but the magnitude and source contributions to SOA in China have not been extensively studied. We simulated ground level SOA concentrations in China during the entire year of 2013 using a regional 3D air quality model. The model includes treatment of the isoprene gas phase chemistry that leads to the production of isoprene epoxides (IEPOX and MAE), and updated SOA mechanism with updated two-product yields to account for vapor wall loss and SOA formation from reactive surface uptake of dicarbonyls, IEPOX and MAE. Contributions of major anthropogenic (industries, power generation, residential sources, extraction and solvent utilization) and natural (biogenic and wildfire) VOC sources to SOA in China are determined using two different emission inventories. This study provides new insights into the importance of biogenic and anthropogenic emissions on SOA formation in China under different meteorological and emission conditions, a better evaluation of the current levels of SOA concentrations and the contributions of anthropogenic and biogenic sources to SOA loading throughout the country. This is the first time a regional SOA model with recent advances in iSOA treatment has been applied in China. It also represents, to the best of the author’s knowledge, the first study that investigates the sensitivity of source apportionment of SOA to different anthropogenic emission inventories in China.
