在全球变暖背景下,暴雨、高温热浪和干旱等极端天气气候事件频发,造成了严重的经济损失和人员伤亡,引起了社会各界的广泛关注。为提升对极端事件的变化、机制及预测的认知,AOSL特组织了“极端天气和气候事件:变化、机制及预测”的专刊,已于8月20日上线出版(https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/atmospheric-and-oceanic-science-letters/vol/15/issue/5 )。
专刊由AOSL编委中科院大气物理研究所孙建奇研究员和南京信息工程大学徐邦琪教授共同召集,内容包含:我国西南地区极端降水变化机制、热带季节内振荡对我国东北地区极寒天气影响、东亚副热带西风急流引发我国极端天气的可能机制、欧洲东部和非洲地区高温热浪的成因、强降雪事件的未来变化预估、气候变化对我国东南沿海骤旱的影响,以及2020年11月北极地区极暖异常的原因等。上述研究揭示了一系列区域极端天气气候事件变化的新特征和新机制,深化了对极端天气气候事件形成机理的科学认识,也为防灾减灾和应对气候变化等提供了重要参考。(编辑室供稿)
