AAS出版WCRP季风委员会全球与区域季风专刊

近年来,在全球气候变化的大背景下,季风与气旋、风暴等天气系统叠加,在亚洲、美洲、非洲和大洋洲引发了多起严重的洪涝与山体滑坡灾害。IPCC第六次评估报告指出,全球尺度上季风降水在本世纪中后期总体增强的证据进一步加强,极端降水也将随变暖而加剧。在持续升温、极端天气频发的背景下,重新理解季风、预测季风,特别是加强对非洲、南美等以往关注不足的区域性季风系统的研究,已成为全球气候科学共同的紧迫议程。《大气科学进展》与世界气候研究计划(WCRP)CLIVAR/GEWEX Monsoons Panel合作,近日出版季风专刊 Global and Regional Monsoons: State of the Art and Perspectives,系统回应“全球与区域季风正在如何变化、为何变化、又将如何重塑人类未来”的共同追问。

专刊由WCRP季风委员会委员、全球降水试验(GPEX)联合主席Annalisa Cherchi博士等作序,汇集了来自中国科学院大气物理研究所、复旦大学、中山大学、南京信息工程大学、兰州大学、美国夏威夷大学、美国伊利诺伊芝加哥大学、美国阿贡国家实验室、日本东京都立大学、澳大利亚南昆士兰大学、澳大利亚气象局、瑞典斯德哥尔摩大学和印度高哈蒂大学等全球多家顶尖科研机构的9篇代表性论文,从全球季风整体变化的综合评估到东亚、南亚、非洲、澳大利亚等区域季风的个例剖析,从陆面植被的古气候反馈到未来的季节预测,共同勾勒出一幅从科学探究走向社会关切的完整季风图景。
